Ease into summer vacation by getting your child’s back-to-school immunizations taken care of at the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County’s (DOH-Citrus) no-cost immunization clinics starting on Monday, July 29.

Walk in to DOH-Citrus, located at 3700 W. Sovereign Path in Lecanto, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday, beginning on July 29 until Aug. 16, to receive childhood immunizations at no cost to your family. DOH-Citrus will also provide one Saturday clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 3.

No appointments are needed. Parents and guardians should bring ID, the child’s birth certificate, social security card and immunization record, if available.

DOH-Citrus is committed to increasing the rate of immunization among Citrus County children. One of the many health priorities identified in the DOH-Citrus strategic plan is to increase initiation of vaccination rates in schools. Over the next two years, DOH-Citrus and its community partners will work to increase access to important vaccines for school-aged children, such as the HPV Vaccine, the Meningococcal vaccine, Tdap and more.
