Citrus County COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Moderna (18+), Pfizer (12+ w/parental/guardian consent) and J&J (18+) vaccines are available at UF/IFAS Extension Citrus County, 3650 W. Sovereign Path in Lecanto, by appointment or walk-in on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and some select Saturdays.

Additional doses of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are also available to moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals who fall under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation 28 days after their second dose. 

Booster shots are available for the following eligiblePfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago:

Lost Your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card?

Click here to download instructions on how to obtain your COVID-19 shot record card from http://www.flshotsusers.com/. Or you would have to come into our Lecanto Health Department, 3700 W. Sovereign Path, either by or appointment or walk in to have one of our staff members assist you in printing out your immunization record from Florida SHOTS.

We do not replace the actual card, but we can provide you with your immunization record. There will be a $5 fee. Call 352-527-0247 for more info or to set up an appointment.

Citrus County COVID-19 Testing Information

Nomi Health provides no-cost COVID-19 testing at the Central Ridge Community Center, 77 Civic Cir. in Beverly Hills. The drive-thru site is open Monday thru Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.*

*Due to previously scheduled events at the Community Center, Nomi Health will not provide testing on select days in September, October, November and December. Click here for a list of dates.

Appointments are highly recommended to avoid wait times. To make an appointment visit https://testing.nomihealth.com/signup/fl. Both rapid and PCR tests will be available at the site while supplies last.

The test site is operated and managed by Nomi Health, not the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus). For information about this Nomi Health test site, call 904-295-0562.

There are also CVS, Walgreens and urgent care clinics providing testing in Citrus. They are listed on the Department of Health’s COVID-19 site at https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/testing-sites/.

Monoclonal Antibody Treatments in Florida

Monoclonal antibody treatments (MAB) can prevent hospitalization or death in high-risk patients with COVID-19 and are widely available in Florida.

Individuals 12 years and older who are high-risk, that have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19, are eligible for this treatment. Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter. More info available at https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/.
