The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) is partnering with the MLK Jr. Alliance Inc. to provide no-cost COVID-19 testing at the Martin Luther King Jr. Extravaganza 21 event on Monday, Jan. 18, to the first 150 individuals from 1 to 4 p.m. at Copeland Park, 850 NE 3rd St. in Crystal River.
This year's event will be a drive-in event only and will include a We Care Food Pantry give-a-way for the first 100 cars starting at 10 a.m.
COVID-19 tests will be provided on a drive-thru basis for adults and children over 12 with or without symptoms. Please bring a photo ID.
DOH-Citrus’ viral tests check samples from your respiratory system with an oral swab to tell you if you currently have an infection. If you test positive, you will be contacted by DOH-Citrus and provided instructions.
It takes approximately 3 to 5 days to receive laboratory results. Participants are encouraged to download the Healthy Together App to receive their results electronically as soon as they become available.
