Overdose Data to Action (OD2A)

Citrus County Health Department

The Overdose Data to Action grant (OD2A) is a nationwide Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention program operated locally through the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus). Using collected data DOH-Citrus staff and members of the Citrus County Opioid Task Force create programs and events to reduce the number of overdoses, while connecting individuals who misuse substances to treatment options, start them on the path to recover and save lives.

OD2A and DOH-Citrus supports the local Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORE) network. By calling 352-860-6876 anyone can be started on the path to recovery. Community Paramedics evaluate and start medication assisted treatment (MAT) to treat the persons opioid use disorder and provide assistance to warm handoffs to Langley Health System or LifeStream Behavioral Center to continued treatment and counseling.
