DOH-Citrus Hosts Revive Awareness Day Event

Citrus County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) recognizes June 6 of each year as Revive Awareness Day and invites the public to attend this year’s event on Friday, June 5, 2026. 

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. – Noon at:

Citrus County Government Building

3600 W. Sovereign Path

Lecanto, FL  34461

Revive Awareness Day raises awareness about the importance of overdose prevention, education, and access to lifesaving resources.  No-cost naloxone and information will be handed out during the event.

Preregistration is not required.

For those unable to attend the June 5 event, naloxone (Narcan) cabinets have been installed on 19 county buildings.  The cabinets are located outside of the buildings, making naloxone available to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Visit the DOH-Citrus website for a complete list of naloxone cabinet locations
